Litha Gemstone Candle, Summer Solstice, Faeries, Sol Energy
The bright and powerful midsummer is nearly upon us, as Litha marks the summer solstice, or the point on the Wheel of the Year when the days are at their longest, and we, are directly opposite from Yule. On June 21st, when Litha is traditionally observed, we feel the power of the earth in her full glory. The god and goddess are at the height of their power, for they are the King and Queen of the lands. The gardens, fields, and orchards are heavily laden as is the pregnant goddess, who is protected and nurtured by the Sun God.
Upon Litha, fires are lit in honor of all solar deities and the solar god. Jumping through the flames is a common practice, and will purify and renew your energy. This is a very good time for performing any type of magical work, especially involving love or healing. And of course, Litha is a time honored season for handfastings as seen by the popularity of weddings throughout the month of June. And, the Summer Solstice is the best time for welcoming and communication with faeries with offerings of sweet treats, fruits and shimmering gifts. Remember to keep your bonfires safe and in control.
Litha Summer Solstice Candles are the perfect adornment and altar centerpiece for your midsummer altar. Glittered up with fiery carnelian, amber and tiger eye gemstones, these smaller sized Litha Vigil Lights burn approx 50 hours, and the wax is unscented ready to anoint and infuse with your own magickal ritual oils of choice.
Our glass jar candles are meant to be burned continuously or for extended periods of time, thus earning them name "Vigil Lights". They can be extinguished and re-lit daily as safety reminds us to never leave burning candles unattended.
Midsummer Blessings -
