New Beginnings for White Magick Alchemy

I am so excited to announce the launching of my newly redesigned website! It's a work in progress for the next few months as we'll be adding some great new features to help make your shopping experience more pleasurable and user friendly. I'm loving the new design though and I hope you do too. The photos are bigger and brighter, the text is larger so it's easier to see, especially on mobile devices, and the navigation is much easier. I have received some inquiries relative to Search on mobile devices relative to a black screen and visitors are unable to click out. We presently have our hosting site looking into that and they will be resolving that very soon so please hang on!

I thought a redesign would be a great way to start fresh as we kick off our new life and adventure here in the Sierra Mountains. We just recently moved from the Bay Area to the mountains of Twain Harte California. We basically went from beach life to mountain life overnight. Its been a little challenging actually. The climate is a lot hotter and dryer here than in Sonoma California, but they say our bodies will adjust in time. In other words, it's fricken hot up here and frankly I'm not a fan. However, as we move through autumn, winter and spring, I'm sure it will all be worth a few months of heat right? You see, I'm Norwegian and Hungarian and I truly believe that our DNA is linked to our ancestral heritage which is why we either feel or don't feel comfortable in certain climates or certain regions throughout the world. My ancestral heritage screams cold and snow so I'm certain that is why I thrive in cooler climates. And I think we picked just the right area too because we won't be slammed with snow but will be able to enjoy a nice dusting during the wintertime. Every single person I have met here has relocated here from somewhere else within California and the one thing they tell me is that yes, it was an adjustment for the first 2 years or so, but they would never ever go back. The people here love it! And we do too. There is something magical about this place. And everyday we find a new secret pond or swimming hole, a new hiking trail or see some amazing gorgeous view. I heard once "Living the same life everyday is no life at all". I agree with that. We just totally stepped outside our comfort zone. The last place I want to take my last breath is in the concrete jungle. I won't do it.

One of my objectives when we decided to move was to slow down a bit and slow WMA down a bit too. There are going to be changes with White Magick Alchemy during the next few years and I have absolutely no idea what those changes are going to be quite yet. I've owned and operated Purple Sun Candle Company, Inc. and White Magick Alchemy now for 23 years and I can feel spiritually that it's time for me to just slow it down a bit. I have a long history and knowledge relative to the retail markets and market climates, and intuitively I know that the next few years are going to be challenging for a lot of businesses. So, instead of fighting the inevitable, I'm choosing to slow things down a little and just roll in whatever direction the universe guides me towards. I can't say where we will be in 2 years. No one can really. But I've been working since I was 12 years old when I started scooping ice cream in my dad's Baskin Robins Ice Cream Store. When I was in school I had two part-time jobs, so in essence, in my mind and body, I've been working and kicking ass for 40 years. I just really want to start enjoying my life right now. The essence of life. And with that will come an even greater connection as I become one with nature and the elements, truly, for the first time in my life.
